A new poem that I wrote about poetry isn't that redundant

Oh poetry oh poetry
You take us such strange
Places
Worlds that never would exist
Without it
Like roads and woods and sailing
Ships
Of flowers grand and withering
Of all the rivers and
And peace and hunger no more
Of haiku and free verse rant
Of opinions most strong
Of the political sort
Good poetry
Bad poetry
It can be summed up
In one word
Expression abstract and otherwise

Hello readers of JP's Comic stuff I want you to have some say in the comics I do. So please in the comments section give your idea for a comic. It can either be a short comic or an idea for a 40 page book. I will pick my favorites and they will be published on JP's Comic Stuff along with your name. Thanks in advance

my poems
In writing poetry there will be folks
Who believe your poems mean something more
Than they really do
Some believe that poems must have
Some sort of metaphorical meaning or
Some kind of deep profound and brilliant
Reason
I however do believe that poems are not
Like that.
They flow out onto paper wheather you
Like it or not.
People can say what I mean by my poems
Just don’t expect me to buy it.

here's a poem on poems and new add for tasty taco. What fun!

MLK JR

A man who worked for others

who fought hard for rights most simple
Who believed in man's equality and the
value of peace.
And though struck down before his time
He never lost sight of his noble goal
That even now bears fruit

Two poems and a nice old school supervillian
Love and other stuff I should compose poems about but oddly never do
Oh the feelings of love heartbreak and total lack
Of creative angst
She was beautiful she was lovely
(Actually she was on my friend’s blog)
We were wonderful together
(We were never together)
Then she went with him
That one who stole the love of my life
(Yet another gross overstatement.)
I still remember her magenta flowing hair
(Or was that that dream with the cow and George Orwell)
Her oh wait did she ever exist
Or was she a dream a figment of
Abstract thought
Why do I waste my time writing of stuff like this
Or is this all a weird dream
Oooo a pig with wings

THE DUCK AND I
Oh you foolish duck why are you content to sit at the
The same old pond each day
Why don’t you go and see the world
The pyramids of Egypt The Parthenon of Greece
Hollywood New York city all for you to see
The whole wide world is open
Go little duck go
The duck looked to me
And I looked to him
Finally he spoke in a voice so very small
He asked a simple question
Why

Two poems and a drawing

Profoundness
Oh how I love being non profound almost profound
Or something like that
I will say weird stuff every day that is not profound
Almost profound or something like that
At least I don’t try to act very profound almost profound
Or something like that.
People will say strange things in the dark
And I’ll say some things of my own
That are non profound almost profound
Or something like that
It’s like that quote I don’t know
From some guy I don’t know
Of course it was very inspiring (or else very weird)
About a cow jumping over the moon
Hey that was non profound or almost profound
Or something like that
Oh the fun of being vague and obscure and
Of course being un profound almost profound
Or well you get the picture

Ode to Obscurity
Oh the weirdness
Oh the weirdness
Things you’ll never read
Things you’ll never see
In the back room of the library
Ah the stuff that happened
or did it ever happen
A puck
A truck
a trunk (of an elephant)
Donald Trump
A walrus tusk
If all the weirdness
Of the world
Was collected in a book
That would be so thick
Without weirdness life
Would be normal
And that would be
Weird
Team Mongoose was the united states elite forces back in the cold war. After the fall of the Berlin wall they were disbanded until being revived in 2006. They now take missions too dangerous or secret for an average agent.
